Costa Blanca – white coast, green coast

The Costa Blanca can be described as possibly the best 200 km of Spanish mainland coastline. From Denia in the North reaching down to Torrevieja in the South, stretches this ever changeful landscape – while in the South the landscape consists of level plains, beaches and lagoons and the North in contrast can be describe as verging on the wild side with untamed cliffs, small bays and fine beaches.

In the North Costa Blanca, which is in fact the Eastern part of the region, the range of the Hanseatische Gesellschaft Hamburg covers the coastal towns of Denia, Jávea, Moraira and Calpe, famous for the wildly romantic countryside.

Here, the Costa Blanca, "white coast", is the greenest and most colourful. The Montgó, Denias famous mountain, with its covering of gorse and broom and wild orchids, and below the valleys filled with orange groves, almond orchards and a variety of other citrus trees and then inland vineyards and orchards of olive trees are all proof of the richness and beauty of this region.

Nature at its best, the climate of this area is one of the healthiest in the world, the beaches and waters have been awarded with the blue flag of the EC. All of these factors ensure a standard of living of high quality.

The Mediterranean without asking invites everyone to relax. This does not just mean sun bathing or taking strolls in the beautiful surrounding countryside. You can also enjoy a wide variety of sports activities such as tennis, cricket, sailing, windsurfing and even scuba diving, all of which are provided by the numerous sports centres, harbours and yacht clubs along the coast.

And should your preference be hiking or just nature rambles you will find numerous clubs and guide books enabling you to pursue your chosen leisure activities. Of course, last but not least, there are a number of first class golf courses in the area.

Also a must to be mentioned is the gastronomic richness of this area, tantalise your taste buds with the wonderful variety of foods on offer in the numerous bars and restaurants to be found in all towns. Choose from the famous Spanish Tapas to the Mitchelin guide mentioned restaurants.

Leaving nothing to be desired, the Costa Blanca is a region where life is a pleasure to live.
